Wintery Wonderland

With our current 4-6 inch layer of snow and whoping 15 degree temperature, we are expected to get another snow storm tonight. What better way to help it look a lot like Christmas?? We’re busting out the sleight this afternoon. Stay warm and safe out there, everyone!

We had a fruit loop garland on the tree, but Peanut found it a bit too tempting (there was a piece of yarn across the living room floor minus the fruit loops the next morning…)

Hawaii

Finally I have a chance to post some pics from our trip to Hawaii last week. We all had a blast. We played on the sand, in the ocean, and in the pool. We even made it out for a hike to Manoa Falls.

Christmas Time is Here

We have been busy, starting on Thursday, getting into the Christmas spirit. We had fun baking and eating sugar cookies a few days ago. Then in full Northwest tradition we donned our rubber boots and rain coats and headed out in search of the perfect Christmas tree in the rain. The best part of bringing home that sopping wet tree… we don’t have to wait for it to dry to put it up like I had to when I was a kid. Nate and I both anxiously bring it right inside. Then it was killer to have to wait for Aaron to finish his 3 hour nap to start decorating. But tonight the lights are up on the house, the tree is sparkling and full of ornaments, Christmas music fills our ears, and the house is decorated. I love this time of year!

The tree farm had a train that Aaron was mesmorized with. Pretty cool…

Happy Thanksgiving!

So much to be thankful for!

A fantastic family
2 wonderful kids both brought to us in the most incredible ways
An amazing, hardworking, loyal, caring husband
Parents who are involved, caring and excited for their ever changing roles
Grandparents who are fun to be around and would give the world for us
Brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and an entire extended family that sure make life a lot of fun.

Nate is safely home from Afghanistan

We have all avoided colds for about a month now - the longest stretch in a year or more!

A warm, secure house that meets all our needs

Awesome friends who help keep us on track
