Giving Back

I strongly believe in giving back to the community and world that surrounds me. I do this in my personal life and in my business as well. To give back through photography gives me so much joy. I currently donate photo sessions to the local Everett, Washington area elementary, middle and high schools’ school auctions for their fundraisers. Every year I offer a mini session as a fundraiser where all of the booking fees go directly to the elementary school to send their 5th graders to camp. I’ve sent an average of 10 kids to camp each year.

Found Families is an organization near and dear to my heart. My family is a mix of children born to me, foster children and internationally adopted children. We’ve been so blessed to grow our family through multiple avenues and through doors that I believe God has opened to us. Found Families family portrait sessions are a natural extension moving from family life into business life. Through the program, I provide a free family photo session with 15 free digital photos to families that have recently finalized an adoption. This often brings me to the courthouse as the judge finalizes the adoption for the family and they officially become permanently each other’s. It brings tears of joy to my eyes and always reminds me of my own experience. You can see samples of Found Families (previously Red Thread Sessions) images below or learn more about Found Families on their website.
